About Pindari Glacier
The Pindari Glacier trek is one of the most accessible glacier treks in the Kumaon Himalayas. The trail passes through traditional mountain villages, dense forests, waterfalls, rivers, and scenic Himalayan valleys before reaching the famous Pindari Glacier viewpoint known as Zero Point.

Pindari Glacier Trek Itinerary
Day 1: Khati Village to Dwali
- Altitude: 2,575 meters
- Trek Distance: 11 km
- Trek Duration: 5–6 hours
The trek begins from Khati, the last inhabited village on the Pindari trail. The route follows the Pindar River through forests, waterfalls, and scenic mountain landscapes. Reach Dwali, located at the confluence of the Pindar and Kafni rivers. Overnight stay at guesthouse/camp.
Day 2: Dwali to Phurkia

- Trek Distance: 5 km
- Trek Duration: 3–4 hours
Today’s trail gradually ascends through alpine terrain with spectacular views of surrounding Himalayan peaks. The route passes through rhododendron forests and glacial valleys before reaching Phurkia campsite. Overnight stay.
Day 3: Phurkia to Pindari Glacier Zero Point and return to Phurkia
- Altitude: 3,700 meters
- Trek Distance: 14 km
- Trek Duration: 7–8 hours
Begin early for the trek to Zero Point near the Pindari Glacier snout. Witness magnificent glacier landscapes, towering peaks, and rugged Himalayan terrain. Spend time exploring the area before descending back to Phurkia for overnight stay.
Day 4: Phurkia to Khati Village
- Trek Distance: 16 km
- Trek Duration: 7–8 hours
Descend through scenic mountain trails, forests, and river valleys back toward Khati village. Enjoy the final views of the Kumaon Himalayas during the return journey.
Day 5: Departure from Khati Village
After breakfast, depart from Khati village toward the roadhead, marking the end of the trek.
